I came across this article the other day. It's written about Yang style but the principles are the same. I often think that Tai Chi is a bit like Yoga in that there are different levels that you can work at. In our class we may all be doing the same silk reeling moves or the same form at the same time but we're all working at different levels of ability. The beginners are learning to wave their arms and trying to remember the sequence. Higher levels are trying to 'internalise' the moves. Higher levels still may be thinking about application. I'm sure there are many levels above my own where they focus on things I can't understand yet.
In this week's class we'll be looking at the 18 Step Form.
